CornCC_Website.jpghusker Classic 2011 is fast approaching

 

The 2011 racing season is drawing to a close and that means its Cornhusker Classic Time. The 2011 Cornhusker Classic will once again feature a variety of classes. The 3 day event to be held September 23 thru 25 at I-80 Speedway will pay out a purse of more than $80,000.

 

Racing starts on Friday, September 23 with qualifying races for Modifieds, GN Late Models, B Mods, ProAm/Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. It will also feature a complete super late model program co-sanctioned by the Corn Belt Clash (CBC) and the Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA). Racing will start at 7 pm with Grandstand Admission for Adults $20. Juniors (6-15) $5 and Kids 5 and under free.

 

On Saturday, September 24 all classes will get a second chance to qualify for Sunday’s features. There will be another complete super late model program co-sanctioned by CBC/MLRA.  Racing will start at 6 pm. Grandstand Admission will once again be $20 for Adults, $5 for Juniors with 5 and under free.

 

On Sunday racing will get underway at 5pm with a complete Super Late Model Racing Series (SLMR) program with $1,000 to win the feature. Also there will be Feature events (and B features if necessary) for other classes.

 

The 40 lap A Mod feature will pay $4,000 and $300 to start. The Grand National feature will pay $1,200 to win and $150 to start. The B Mod feature will pay $1.500 to win and $110 to start. The ProAm/Stock Car feature will pay $1,200 to win and $100 to start, the Hobby Stock feature $1,000 to win and $90 to start and the Sport Compacts will pay $800 to win and $70 to start. Grandstand Admission is $15 for Adults $5 for Juniors with 5 and under free.

 

If either Friday or Saturday night should be rained out, the purse for the six classes that are eligible to run all three nights will be cut to 70%. If Sunday should be rained out, that program will be made up on Friday, September 30.
